Delivery of files to be converted to DCP

when all data,  (picture, sound, text) have been finished it is neccesary to return them according to the below specifications 
When this has been delivered the Picture frames are encoded to jpeg2000 and then wrapped together with the sound into mxf files.

  • Delivery of material that should be compressed to jpeg2000

    Uncompressed .TIF, .DPX eða OPENEXR

    the colourspace of the frames can be

    - DCI P3 - RGB or XYZ (colorspace) with gamma 2.6

    or

    - REC709 (colorspace) with gamma 2.22

(make sure to tell us the correct information about what colourspace is being used)


The dolby jpeg2k encoder can handle the below colour conversions to 12 bit - X´Y´Z  

RGB
DCI P3 R´G´B
XYZ
ITU REC709 R´G´B
REC709 Gamma 2.2 R´G´B
no conversion


  • Name of each frame shall be numerical and one folder for each reel

    example:

picture_0000.tif

picture_0001.tif

picture_0002.tif

......tif

picture_9999.tif

Delivery of sound

  • Uncompressed, 24bit 48khz or 96khz Broadcast .wav file

  • It is preferred that one interleaved .wav file is delivered if you want us to interleave the .wav files please make sure to label each channel. 

  • maximum size of a  single .wav file is 4gb (if the sound is 5.1 then approx 40 minutes will reach that size)

  • Channel assignment shall be according to the digital cinema standard

3. Center

4. LFE

5. Left Surround

6. Right Surround

please note: sound files shall be 24-bit 48 kHz (NOT 47.952) broadcast WAV files
